Mostly working with the traditional wax carving method to create my jewellery, I love the surprises that get thrown up when translating an idea or drawing into 3D. It's exciting to see how facets start to interact when extended all the way around the back of a ring shank, or when surfaces meet with unexpected results. I often let simple geometric ideas and rules dictate the design.
